Tomba and Loadstar

Whats up everyone, I hope you're all having a good week. So this week I have an EP review and another banging track for you to sink you're teeth into. Firstly, Tomba released his EP "Time To Slam" earlier this week, so I thought I'd give you a little run down of it.

Its a 5 track EP although if you have "Borgore's Misadventures In Dubstep" its a 3 track EP as the tracks "Kneeyan" and "Wanna Feel Good" featured on that. The first track is a fast tempo job featuring rapper Inja, I actually like the track is has a real Tomba feel to it, fans of his previous releases will know exactly what I mean. The second track on the EP is my favourite its entitled "Spanish Lullaby" and the track just explodes in your ears. High energy, gritty and again fast paced, it certainly packs a punch and will get people throwing all sorts of nutty shapes when its dropped. I'll move on to "You And Me" as the other two I spoke about in the review of Borgore's album. This moves back into the standard dubstep tempo and has the Borgore style gritty bass wobble that you associate with these two. Another good track. So overall it's a good release from Tomba who certainly has a following, fans be sure to get hold of this.

Rating: 8/10

Now onto the other part of this post. This time I have a drumstep track for you. Now I am fully aware of what drumstep is don't get all dicky about it, for the purposes of this blog drumstep is that grey area between drum and bass and dubstep. This week its artist Loadstar and his release "Second Skin". It's a really good track that is set to be released on RAM Records and again its one that will really get the crowd pumping. He makes good use of some very popular synths on the scene at the moment and I'm sure if you give it a listen you won't be able to stop nodding your head.

That's your lot peeps, next time exciting news about some Bass Junkie merchandise, eyes peeled.
